The reputation of our cellar sicuramant is due to its size and its location, which is within the prestigious walls of the former stables of Palazzo Gangi. The palace is known for the famous dance scene from the film “The Leopard” by Luchino Visconti.
The wine list is certainly our strong point: it offers hundreds of labels, wines selected over the years. Particular attention we have always given to the Sicilian reality, but we are not limited in this. We wine elite researchers from all over the world

The wine cellar of the Osteria dei Vespri was established before 1999
Thanks to the passion for good wine, in the early 90s, Alberto involving his brother Andrew who then begin to make their way in the world of Sicilian food. The first experience in the restaurant business takes place within the family club, the current Tennis Club Palermo 2. They are among the first in those years to organize themed events and wine tasting courses.
Of course, as with wine, their passion to the world of food caters to the study of the top grade materials and good food. When the restaurant’s tennis was beginning to feel close to the brothers clubs, decided to bet on the historic center of Palermo, noting so in 1999 the old “Trattoria dei Vespri”, precisely today Osteria dei Vespri.
In 1999, the Osteria dei Vespri initially opened as “Enoteca con cucina” (kitchen with wine cellar), with the wine then on top, but with a growing food in coincidence of so-called “Primavera di Palermo” (Palermo spring), during which the Palermo had the opportunity to repossess the historic center.

Thanks to which set off the cultural ferment that today bears our city to be one of the most important tourist destinations in the Mediterranean.
Thirty years experience in the field, means that the wine list is the daughter of a careful selection of labels that represent not only the various territories, but the different styles of those who make the wine.
A chronological heritage on wine, with the best evidence of the trends that have occurred over the years.
The wine list collects a variety of trends and fashions of the wine: from the classics, to wines with clear barrels of the 90’s, the famous “fruit wine”, natural and biodynamic wines.
The Osteria dei Vespri offers its discoverers, the ability to draw on a winery whose wine choices is set with the intent of representing wine producers from around the country.
Certainly particular attention is paid to the production of wine in the Sicilian territory, without however neglecting the most significant areas of the rest of the world. The common thread in the selection of these references is essentially the idea of proposing wines belonging to all types of production.
